Dr. Skootsky is currently Chief Medical Officer of the UCLA Faculty Practice Group and Medical Group, and also Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He has been active in CAPG for over a decade. Dr Skootsky's responsibilities at UCLA include HMO and Medicare Advantage risk contracts for UCLA Medical Group as well as multiple commercial and governmental ACO contracts. His recent activities include development of UCLA's Primary Care Innovation Model with the objective of implementing advanced primary care functions into existing practices as well as health care delivery integration with closely related specialty services. He is active both in California and nationally with a focus on care transformation, workforce sustainability, and improved patient experience.
